Now Nokia 3310 LCD is working with multi-line display. Need to work on the Fonts side since they are too small. At least an 8x8 font is needed to have better user experience. Also working towards converting the conventional Reg arable battery to Lithium Ion based battery. Submission date for the LPC1100 Design Challenge - Hardware Phase was yesterday. I have managed to submit the entry with all the pre-requisites. keeping the fingers crossed for the next phase ;-).
LaunchPad development kit is a part of the TI's MSP430 Value Line series. LaunchPad has an integrated DIP target socket that supports up to 20 pins, allowing MSP430 Value Line devices to be dropped into the LaunchPad board. Also, an on-board flash emulation tool allows direct interface to a PC for easy programming, debugging, and evaluation. Included are free and down-loadable software development environments (CCS as well as IAR support this board) for writing and debugging software. LaunchPad can be used to create interactive solutions thanks to its on-board pushbuttons, LEDs, and extra input/output pins for easy integration of external devices.

I am trying hard to get hold on one of these boards. Since MSP430 is a crazy low power chip and at this low cost its a must have.

Yeterday I was looking out for a quick clean solution to removal of the .SVN directories from one of my projects. Its difficult to have the complete sub directories cleaned up.
Then I found an easy solution(for Windows):
1. Create a file named "cleanup.cmd" and type the below as it is :

for /f "tokens=* delims=" %%i in ('dir /s /b /a:d *svn') do ( rd /s /q "%%i" )

2. Now place this file in the directory you want to clean.
3. Double Click and you are done.

In case of Linux its a bit easy. In command line just type the following:
find . -type d -name ‘.svn' -print0 | xargs -0 rm -rdf

Now EEPROM 24LC16 I2C driver is working. Also the UART has come alive with both receive and transmit working. The PSU now uses a TPS7333 a nice 3.3V regulator from TI. Need to check out the display now.
Today the Serial port code is working with both receive as well as Transmit happening properly. I have fixed the keypad on the base board. Here is a picture of the setup.
Next I need to connect the display. Also the charger and regulator needs to be assembled.
I was looking around for some easy to implement CMS(Content Management Systems) for my Friend. Well out of all the big CMS like Joomla, Drupal, etc my friend wanted some thing radically simple without the Database stuff. So I found him some and here is the List of all that we were able to gather:
Now lets see, I found a very good Javascript Based WYSIWYG editor that is embeddable in any website.
TinyMCE http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/index.php This is an very easy to use editor much like Google wave. Both the above implementations use this editor by default.
